Last week, we went to Hobbledown Heath in Hounslow. I had three 6 year old boys to impress, and I will say Hobbledown Heath did not disappoint!
We drove, we came from South West London and the journey was about an hour and 15 minutes. The closest tube station is Hounslow Central, the nearest train stations are Hounslow and Feltam and buses 117 and 235 stop nearby.
If tickets are booked in advance or in my experience, they are between £16.00 and £18.00 per person (regardless of if you are an adult or child) dependant on if you want anytime or specific time entry. However, if you book closer to the time or in busy periods I think it changes, so do monitor it and try to book when you can get the best deal.
The ticket provides entry to the park which is a really huge area with several different climbing structures and things to jump on. There are different animals that you can either see by yourself or you can join a tour, then there is a big indoor soft play area.
You can then pay extra for different experiences with the animals, and for different activities such as zip lines. Make sure you look at all what's available so you can plan your day and get the most from the experience.
I would say it's best to try and go on a dry day as a lot of the activities are outside.
The boys loved the whole day, we started outside with the climbing structures, I was able to let them pretty much get on with it. Although there was a point where the boys reckoned they were stuck with no way out and I had to go in and get them (as far as I'm concerned they were definitely not stuck, and could indeed get out).
They tried out the different jumping areas, which looked almost like huge water beds.
All that activity built up an appetite, they do sell food onsite. The prices were on par with most day out experiences so they weren't the cheapest, but I managed to feed three boys and two adults with pizza, chips, chicken and drinks for about £40 so could be worse.
After food, we went on the Animal Antics tour, the staff were friendly and kept the kids engaged throughout the tour. There was also a nice variety of animals, they had meerkats, various birds, capybaras, cows, reindeers, lemurs and more.
Inside the Great Barn is where the softplay was located, the boys loved that as well and spent well over an hour in there.
We finished up with roasting marshmellow, before we left for the journey home.
We loved this space and had a great day out, it is definitely recommended for ages 2-13 years.
