This weekend, Elijah and I headed to Clip 'n Climb Wandsworth for a fun, energetic day out with friends — and it really did deliver on fun.
Session Overview: Each session lasts 85 minutes in total, starting with a 30-minute safety briefing and harness fitting.

The team covers all the important safety information and helps everyone get into their harnesses before climbing begins. Then it's 55 minutes of climbing time, where kids (and adults) are free to tackle a variety of colourful walls and challenges.
Pricing: Tickets are £22.50 per person, whether you're booking for an adult or a child. I'll be honest — it felt quite expensive, especially when you consider that’s per head. On top of that, there’s an additional £4.00 charge if you want to try the Vertical Drop Slide. Whilst £4.00 isn’t much, it really feels like something that should have been included in the main price, given the overall cost.

The Climbing Experience: The walls themselves are brilliant — full of bright colours, different levels of difficulty, and some unique climbing challenges. One thing to note: climbers have to clip their harnesses onto each individual wall themselves. Elijah and his friends found this difficult at times, and I had rendom children asking me to unclip them as they were unable to do it themselves. It’s definitely something to keep in mind, especially for younger or less confident climbers.
Facilities: There's a small café on-site, which was reasonably priced (a nice surprise considering the cost of the climbing tickets!). Whether you need a quick coffee or a snack to refuel after the climb, the café had enough options to keep everyone happy.
Overall Thoughts: If you’re working with a tight budget, Clip 'n Climb Wandsworth might feel like a bit of a splurge — especially if you have multiple children. That said, Elijah and his friends had a fantastic time. They came away smiling, laughing, and full of stories about how high they managed to climb.
If you’re looking for a high-energy, memorable day out — and you're happy to spend a little extra — Clip 'n Climb is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for the extra costs and a few tricky moments with the harness clips!
